Family is Here

Yesterday was a great day!! I woke up and got my ride in with a couple tempo efforts. As soon as we got back to our tiny studio condo Matt and I packed up as quick as we could to move on up to our new place. It is amazing and quiet. Just in time because it is getting CRAZY in town. Everyone is here and it is packed everywhere you go. You can't get far without getting stopped to catch up with old friends. It is a great time, but I also need to lay low and get my rest for the big day.
My family came in today and my son Kaiden was so excited to see me as I was to see him. He couldn't stop talking and wanting to show me new things around our place. He is full of energy and awesome to have around. After a great afternoon hanging with the family we were off to the K-Swiss party. It turned out great. It was an invite party at the Hard Rock Cafe and the turn out was great. The who's who of triathlon was there. It was a great time for K-Swiss to show off their new products that we have been working on and meet lots of industry people that they will be working with for years to come.
All in all it was a great day with friends and family and yes a little training.

Hi Chris. I'm a blog stalker from Michigan. The past two years we've been to Kona for vacation during the Ironman but could not swing it this year. Last year I was working as a volanteer in the staging area the day prior to the race and assisted you when you brought in your gear/bike. You had several questions about the rules/guidelines, things I didn't hav ethe answers to so we went to the organizers and I was astonished at how poorly they were organized and how they treated you. I doubt you remember me as I'm sure you had far more important things on your mind. I was really pulling for you on race day hoping you were going to track down Normann. But anyway I was attempting get my fix on Ironman Hawaii info during my lunch hour and stumbled onto your blog. Thanks for giving me my fix. I just wanted to say good luck on Saturday. We'll be pulling for you.

I can't believe it took me so long to check out your blog... Matt told me about a little over a week ago... bad on me! Thanks for doing this! I for one appreciate the "inside" look and the extra effort you're making to connect with the "little man"!

Stay calm and let it fall into place... 3 days out... I'm totally pumped for you!

Breathe...

p.s. Punch Matt in the shoulder for me!
